New Music: Tinashe (feat. Iggy Azalea) - "All Hands On Deck" Remix [Full Audio / Review]
I may have spoken too soon. It seems RCA isn’t dropping Tinashe's "Aquarius" album just yet. Although it did look like it from the cheap non-VEVO-released video for the title track that Tinashe unveiled two weeks ago. Also, although Iggy Azalea has opted to stay away from Twitter for an indefinite time, she isn't opting to stop recording collaborations.
Indeed, the Stargate and Cashmere Cat-produced “All Hands On Deck” has been just announced as the next single from Tinashe’s underrated debut album “Aquarius”.
The version that will be sent to radios – official release date's still pending – won’t be the one on the album, though. A new, remix version of “All Hands On Deck” has been recently recorded and it features none other than “Fancy" raptress Iggy Azalea.
This is a major vote of confidence by RCA. Getting an Iggy collaboration isn't cheap these days, so Tinashe better promote the hell out of it (including spamming all of her followers on Twitter and Facebook) because this is honestly Tinashe's last opportunity with "Aquarius". "Pretend" flopped, and if “All Hands On Deck” flops too, then this is it. RCA is already not too happy about the disappointing sales of the album so if the expensive Iggy Azalea remix of “All Hands On Deck” fails to impress sales-wise then you just know Tinashe’s contract with RCA will be in jeopardy.
As for the decision to give “All Hands On Deck” the single treatment, I was personally hoping the Future-assisted “How Many Times” would be Tinashe’s next single - as it is my favorite track on the album - but it's honest to say the Iggy Azalea feature on “All Hands On Deck” does make me love the song a lot more. So I’m giving approval! Iggy’s bridge rap is on fire! She totally blended in well with the beat.
