New Music: R5 - "Heart Made Up On You" [Premiere]
10 months after releasing their full-length debut album “Louder”, pop-rock band R5 (Hollywood Records) return with new music. Tomorrow, July 22, the Ross Lynch-led band will release on US iTunes their third EP "Heart Made Up On You”, but today, R5 released the audio of the first single on VEVO, and it is the title track!
The EP "Heart Made Up On You” is to serve as a prequel to R5’s upcoming second full-length album which rumour has it will be arriving stores around September. Hollywood Records still have faith on the band even though “Louder” (2013) only managed to peak at #24 on the Billboard Top 200.
Review of "Heart Made Up On You”
If the rest of the EP is just as "Heart Made Up On You”, I will be definitely buying. "Heart Made Up On You” is pop-rock perfection. PERFECTION, I said! Just by listening to the first verse of the song (doesn’t the beat sound similar to Shakira's "Can't Remember To Forget You?), I knew this song was going to be stellar and of my liking. The production is mainly pop-rock but I feel a subtle reggae vibe. Verses and chorus are AS catchy, the melody is captivating, and overall "Heart Made Up On You” sounds like a bona-fide radio hit. Pretty exciting how much they’ve matured musically in only 10 months! Hollywood Records definitely made the right choice keep R5 in its roster.
