New Music: Nico & Vinz - "That's How You Know" [Full Audio / Review]
Norwegian duo Nico & Vinz are getting a second album on Warner Bros. Music! Their last year-released international debut “Black Star Elephant” may have sold poorly (only reached no. 45 on the Billboard Top 200 – ouch) but the undisputable success of the single “Am I Wrong” surely must have been the reason why their US label agreed to give them a new shot. Lucky, lucky! Their return for good to Norway is not happening yet.
Nico & Vinz’ new album will be out either late this year or early in 2016 (that’s yet to be defined) but what doesn’t need to be defined is the first single which is here already. The audio of “That’s How You Know” world premiered via Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio last night (July 9) and it was released on VEVO this morning (endlessly stream below).
Featuring Bebe Rexha (I see you Warner, trying to make Bebe ‘happen’ fast) and rapper Kid Ink, Nico and Viz’ new single “That’s How You Know” is giving me serious “Four Five Seconds” vibes, but even though they might have plagiarized the Rihanna hit, I’m liking this. Very simple, great melody, fantastic chorus, Bebe’s part is definitely a plus (Kid Ink’s not so much) and all in all a nice single and for sure I see it being a decent hit this summer. I Guess Warner did the right thing trusting Nico & Vinz for a second album.
