New Music: Mario (ft. Rick Ross) - "Forever" [Premiere]
So is this it? R&B singer Mario just had his new song "Forever", featuring rapper Rick Ross, premiered on radio this morning (Aug. 26). The love song is said to be the 'real' first single from the 28-year-old's upcoming oft-delayed fifth studio album called "Never 2 Late" (first Mario album since 2009's "D.N.A"!), which will be released later this year - allegedly in December.
The new single "Forever" was produced by none other than Scott Storch. Looks like little by little the former hitmaker is making a comeback!
Beyond blessed!! Stay tuned #ForEver coming to a station near you! #Never2Late https://t.co/VJmapa7MRf

Mario's "Forever" is your typical R&B male-sung love song, with your typical production (sorry Scott), which with the correct PR/promotion could make some decent impact on the R&B charts and rhythmic radio. The song's story? You can pretty much get it from the title but if you insist..."Forever" hears Mario serenading to his girl (whom he took some time to get with due to misunderstood signals) - telling her he'll get her a beach house if she pleases - and asking her to make a mutual promise of staying with one each other for all eternity.
This is a cute R&B song but I do have to say some Mario vocals sound too 'screechy' in certain parts. Overall, I approve, though!
