Another ‘froot’ has fell off the tree. But it wasn’t its time to drop yet.
Marina and the Diamonds was scheduled to release a new track from her forthcoming third studio album “Froot” (due in stores April 3) on February 2 on iTunes but a dirty leaker posted today (Jan. 22) - more than a week before - the full version of "I'm A Ruin" (the chosen 'froot' to serve as the latest iTunes countdown single) to the dismay of Welsh singer-songwriter. A pessimist song with a groovy tone. “I’m A Ruin” is okay, might grow on me with a few more listens, but so far is my least favourite ‘froot’ from the ones that have been ‘dropped’. I do like Marina's vocals very much, though. She's the synonym of ‘singing with passion’.
