Review: Kacey Musgraves - "Biscuits"
Country singer Kacey Musgraves is back with the most perfect single ever.
Two years after releasing the #1 country album “Same Trailer Different Park” - Kacey’s fourth LP of her career but her first under a major label - and having the official singles "Merry Go Round" and "Follow Your Arrow" go platinum and gold, respectively, the country singer has determined 2015 is the year to give fans brand new music.
Kacey’s second major label album will be out at a yet-to-be-disclosed date later this year via Mercury Nashville, but there’s no mystery as of when we can listen to the first single, as that is NOW! It's called "Biscuits", it accidentally surfaced online today (March 3) although it won’t hit country radio until March 16 and iTunes the following day, and no doubt this will be a smash hit in the country world.
Ms. Musgraves’ new single “Biscuits” is about telling nosey neighbours to nose some place else. “Mend your own fences / And own your own crazy / Mind your own biscuits / And life will be gravy”, sings the 26-year-old Texas singer in the chorus of her new song over a feel-good guitar instrumental.
“Biscuits” is so nice to listen to, and catchy. Perfect country single for the Spring time that’s upon us. Also, I wouldn’t mind being Kacey’s nosey neighbour if that gets me to have her singing a tune like “Biscuits” outside my door!
Hit or Miss?
