New Music: Ed Sheeran - 'Bloodstream' [Premiere]
The second of the seven 'X' tracks that
Ed Sheeran is premiering all this week on iTunes is ‘Bloodstream’. The Rick Rubin-produced
acoustic, guitar-driven number is track #7 from the British, red-haired singer-songwriter’s
upcoming second album, in stores June 23. ‘Bloodstream’ has one of the most ‘interesting’
titles on the album. It is obviously autobiographical, and it is obviously
about something Ed ‘ingested’ and went to his actual bloodstream. Was it drugs? Was it alcohol? Find out by

How commendable is it for Ed Sheeran to be sharing all of his life stories through his music so openly? "Couple women by my side / Sipping on red wine”, sings a tipsy Ed in 'Bloodstream'. He feels lost, he’s been 'spinning around’ for way too long, he feels depressed, and the only thing that can help him out at this moment is the ‘chemicals’ in the booze (so it wasn't drugs). Alcohol is his remedy for his broken heart.
The previous iTunes countdown single was 'Afire Love'.
