DJ Khaled - "Hold You Down" [Music Video]
That didn’t take long, did it? A few hours after releasing his newest single “Hold You Down” (featuring Chris Brown, Future, August Alsina and Jeremih) - in the morning of August 11th – on iTunes, DJ Khaled drops the music video for the woman-caring anthem via WorldStarHipHop. “Hold You Down” is the brand new single from DJ Khaled’s upcoming LP “I Changed A Lot”, due in stores this fall on Cash Money.
“Hold You Down” music video review
DJ Khaled made sure one thing was a must in the music video for “Hold You Down” whose treatment was brought up by director Gil Green (yey! No Collin Tilley!); that he should plug a lot his newly-announced “We The Best Sound” headphones line. DJ Khaled has teamed up with high-end manufacturer Bang & Olufsen to release a new premium line of headphones that will try to compete by "Beats by Dre". No word yet on when the “We The Best Sound” headphones will be available.
So that was the only requirement Khaled asked director Gil Green. Other than that, Gil had full freedom. What he did? To come up with a cinematic treatment where DJ Khaled would have plenty of overacted dialogues. ‘Overacted’ in the sense they are literally insufferable. After and amid chit-chatting with his beautiful girlfriend, and promising her the sky and the moon, DJ Khaled joins his buddies Chris Brown, Future, August Alsina and Jeremih for a group performance of the “Hold You Down” in the entrance hall of his mansion. Chris Brown makes his return to the ‘music videos’ scene in one of his first since he recovered his freedom by judicial order.
