New Music: Daft Punk (feat. Jay-Z) - "Computerized"
Now this is unexpected! I just can't really understand how could a collaboration with hip-hop mogul Jay-Z miss "Random Access Memories"?. This needs to be explained!
"Computerized" is a leftover from Daft Punk's latest studio album which spawned the Grammy-winning song "Get Lucky" (it scored the "Record of the Year" award at the 56th Grammys ceremony this year). Anyway, "Computarized" is an unreleased track from the album, and it was co-produced by Kanye West.
The Jay-Z verse is new and not taken from an old song (even though he raps about Blackberry... lol). So don't think someone just copied & pasted an old verse from Hov onto a Daft Punk demo. "Computerized" sounds fine, and Jay-Z's delivery is good as usual but this definitely can't be the final version of the song. Regardless of this though, how could Daft Punk miss the chance to have a Jay-Z collab on "Random Access Memories"?
