Rejoice Carly Rae Jepsen fans because the Canadian pop singer's new single “I Really Like You” is now available for stream in its full and high-quality version, hours before its scheduled worldwide release on iTunes this midnight (March 1). It’s just a bit too soon so it shouldn’t hurt first-day sales that much.

Co-written by hitmaker Max Martin, “I Really Like You” is the lead single from Carly’s forthcoming third studio album which will arrive in stores later in 2015 via Interscope Records. The video for “I Really Like You” should premiere in a few days and you’ll see Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks co-starring in it and doing a flash mob dance with Carly and pal Justin Bieber on the SoHo streets in New York City. Stay tuned!

I Really Like You” is going to be make it or break it for Carly Rae Jepsen. Many have rightfully labeled her as a ‘one hit wonder' after her album "Kiss" flopped a few years ago and only "Call Me Maybe" managed to draw success. 2015 is going to be the time she puts that criticism to rest or sinks with it.

“I Really Like You” song review

Doesn’t this sound like something that could be from the “Kiss” album? It’s very pure-pop, which is the genre Carly feels more comfortable in after recording "Call Me Maybe" and the genre her album “Kiss” was based on. This really could signify her ‘staying in the past’ but in all truth “I Really Like You” is so addictive I don’t care if she’s not showing any evolution with it. It's a catchy pop song, the chorus is absolutely glorious, the video could go viral thanks to the appearances of Tom Hanks and JB, and all in all, if Carly and her manager Scooter Braun play the cards right “I Really Like You” could mean Carly’s return to the top spots of the charts. If she does success with this single then her career will be safe, if not, she’s in great danger of joining the unemployment lines of the US/Canada. But I have faith! I'm loving the song. Or as Carly would probably want me to phrase it; "I really really really really like it!".
