New Music: Brandy - 'Wildest Dreams'
Brandy gets back to her pure R&B roots in "Wildest Dreams", the official second single from her forthcoming RCA/Chameleon Records debut "Two Eleven", in stores on October 10th, 2012!
Now wait a minute...didn't she just premiere the music video for "Put It Down"?. Such a weird move unveling your follow-up single this soon. Is she saying with this "Put It Down" is being abandoned as the current single?. I mean, the Chris Brown first single collaboration sounded hot from the simple 'Brandy and Chris Brown' on the title of the song and was much-anticipated at first, but once "Put It Down" was premiered, all there was left was disappointment. The duet was OK. It ain't appearing nowhere on the Hot 100 yet, and radios in the US aren't picking it up that much = it's flopping. So that's the only explanation I find for rushing the second single this soon. As for "Wildest Dreams", this was produced by Tha Bizness and written by Sean Garrett and was inspired by Brandy's real-life boyfriend Ryan Press.
"Wildest Dreams" is a quite decent R&B mid-tempo. Brandy's vocals are as usual flawless. By the way, hearing this, does anyone else think "Full Moon" is the type of album Brandy should've held off and released as her 'comeback' today?. That era was just stunning. Loved every track on the CD.
