N.E.R.D Perform on 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' & Robyn on 'Jay Leno'
N.E.R.D appeared on Wedneday's episode of 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' on NBC to deliver the first televised performance of what appears to be their next single, "Sacred Temple". This would become the third single from the trio's latest album "Nothing" after 'Hot N Fun' and "Hypnotize U'. Not the biggest fan of the song...but I gotta admit Pharell, Chad and Shay put on one good performance last night! I was actually hoping tho they released "I Wanna Jam" as the new single as I truly see some hit potential in that song. So far this new studio album is not responding that well for N.E.R.D, sales are not strong and the chart-performance is worrying. Maybe they could pull a re-release...? And add some more commericial/radio-friendly tunes. CLICK HERE to check out N.E.R.D'S upcoming live gigs dates.
The talented Robyn has recently kicked-off the promotion in support of her new studio album, the ultimate "Body Talk", where the Swedish star includes a mix of tracks from "Pt 1" and "Pt 2" as well as five new songs. Robyn performed live on 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on Tuesday...but her performance left me kinda...cold. Not that I hate what she did, Robyn rocked that stage as it's usual of her but it's the song choice what shocked me. She opted to sing "Dancing On My Own" for the millionth time...to the detriment of the new album's lead - and HOT - single "Indestructible". Not sure what she intended to do with this...
