Nelly Furtado’s Sixth Album Out In November / Listen To Her New Song “Behind Your Back” Now!
Nelly Furtado’s sixth studio album is indeed going to happen and the anticipation and anxiety are real.
A recap on what we know about it so far: The Canadian singer did an impromptu Q&A with fans on Twitter back in April where she confirmed a new album was a go. She revealed then what the title of her new album will NOT be, what the theme will be, the language used in it, and if there’ll be any collaborations.
@AriMara_ Hello. I am still working on it. It is not called "What Happens In Dallas" though.

And earlier this week Nelly dropped her first new song in years called “Behind Your Back” via Spotify. “BYB” is a feel-good vintag-y-sounding mid-tempo funky track where Ms. Furtado talks about still speaking about her ex with her friends for she feels that’s the only way to keep his memory alive - for she is still in love with that person apparently.
“Behind Your Back” may just be an appetizer from what’s to come from Nelly’s upcoming sixth studio album but I am loving it. Not mainstream-sounding but still so good! It won’t be about the sales anymore about Nelly but it’s okay. Her old discography is just so perfect that I don’t care if she serves us other kind of music from now on. She is evolving and I am loving the change. I’m just excited for all the things Nelly can come up musically For the poppy jams I can always play her old albums. No worries.
Also this week, Canadian newspaper Time Colonist delivered an exclusive. They reported that Nelly’s sixth studio album will be released in NOVEMBER! And I’m sure November will be because they are a reliable and serious source. And because the article mentioning the album release date features an interview with Nelly, talking about some concert she’s playing later this month in Toronto - therefore I’m sure the album information must’ve come from Nelly herself.
