Naughty Boy Has His Crew Perform “Runnin’ (Lose It All)” & Do A Rap Remix Of An Arctic Monkeys Hit On BBC Live Lounge: Listen
Naughty Boy released last week a surprising collaboration with Beyoncé called "Runnin' (Lose It All)" - a ballad/uptempo hybrid - and today (Sept. 22) the British producer offered the first live performance of it - although unfortunately without the presence of Beyoncé. But this was obvious. She may have agreed to record this, but she's never going to promote it.
The first live performance of "Runnin' (Lose It All)" (in acoustic mode) took place on BBC Radio 1's "Live Lounge" today in the UK - the country where the song is best performing to date (as of this post holding the #3 spot on iTunes). Arrow Benjamin (the co-singer of the original song alongside Beyoncé) was there to perform his part of "Runnin' (Lose It All)" while Beyoncé was replaced by a newcomer whose name I believe is Shasa/Shassa/Shazza or something like that. Her name isn't really important, though, as she slayed me with her vocals anyway. She really did justice to the Beyoncé part.
Later on today's episode of "Live Lounge", Naughty Boy and his crew performed their "mystery cover", a mandatory second song every guest on "Live Lounge" must do. Naughty Boy chose Arctic Monkeys' smash hit "Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?" from the band's 2013 "AM" album. For this second performance, English singer Tom Prior and English raptress Little Simz were the vocalists. Why was a rapper needed? Because Naughty Boy had prepared a really awesome remix for this cover. Little Simz threw in some killer rapping and it was the best thing ever!
