Mura Masa & Christine And The Queens' Collaboration "Second 2 None" Is Here: Stream Now!
My absolute most anticipated song from English producer Mura Masa's self titled debut album, the Christine and the Queens-assisted "Second 2 None" has finally been released (latest countdown single) and I am too happy because the song is amazing. Although it could have been more amazing actually. If Christine had at least included a few lyrics sung in French, this would have taken the song to a whole new level for me.
Over a deliciously quirky and cool electronic production (Mura Masa and Bjork would do magic music together), my French lady Christine of Christine and the Queens delivers emotive vocals that talk about... I actually have no idea what she's talking about, lol. The lyrics are somewhat confusing. Is she talking about herself maybe? That she shouldn't let herself be denigrated by anyone? Anyhow, whatever Christine was trying to selI I bought anyway because of her mesmerizing vocals. My favorite part was when she sang "second to them, second to none". Very catchy. And that's true, one should always excel to be number one. Look at Beyoncé. She knew very well she couldn't be second to Kelly nor Michelle, lol.
