Miranda Lambert Shades Ex And Herself In New Single “Vice”: Listen Now!

miranda lambert vice

Miranda Lambert is finally clapping back at ex-husband and fellow country star Blake Shelton - who hurt her a bit by starting to date Gwen Stefani very soon after their separation was announced publicly and who wrote a lot of songs about their split (not something that the other partner wants to be reminded of) for his new album “If I'm Honest”.

Miranda premiered her new single “Vice” yesterday, July 18, via an audio video uploaded on VEVO. This is confirmed to be the first official offering from the the country lady’s forthcoming sixth studio album “Records I Never Heard”, which will arrive in stores later this year.

Vice” is a slow-burning, rock-heavy and country-influenced ballad where Miranda, a la Selena Gomez, “kills with kindness”. She basically says in the heartbreak song that she doesn’t want to erase her past (what she lived with Blake), but she’s fighting not to repeat it (make sure she finds the right guy this time). Meow! A subtle clap, but a ‘clap’ it is. However, there’s more to the song. Miranda also does some serious self analysis in it, laying all blame for not finding true love on herself. “Another call, another bed I shouldn't crawl out of / At 7AM with shoes in my hand / Maybe I'm addicted to goodbyes / Another vice”, Miranda sings. Wow. This song is really something! Don’t know if it’ll be a hit, but it’s undoubtedly one of Miranda’s best songs.
