Miley Cyrus - "Wrecking Ball" (Music Video)
Miley Cyrus bares all in "Wrecking Ball" music video. The Terry Richardson-directed visual premiered on VEVO on September 9. "Wrecking Ball", produced by Dr Luke and Cirkut, is the second single from the Nashville singer's fourth album "Bangerz" (Oct. 8).
Releasing a ballad like "Wrecking Ball" immediately after shocking, and infecting everyone's minds with the urban-ish, twerking anthem "We Can't Stop" was regarded as a risky move, but the new single is actually performing rather well on iTunes USA, refusing to leave the Top 15 since release. Just wait till Miley's label sends "Wrecking Ball" to radios, she's going to have a lot of success with a power ballad too. 2013 is her year!
As for the "Wrecking Ball" music video, Terry Richardson had a fairly easy job coming up with the treatment. The simple visual opens with a close-up shot of Miley, against a bright white background, weeping, and singing the lyrics of the ballad. Other scenes see Billy Ray's daughter licking a hammer, and swinging around on top of an actual wrecking ball FULLY NAKED. Oh wow. That was unexpected! What a powerful video, though.
