Melanie C Performs "2 Become 1" with Emma Bunton, Covers Rihanna at London Show (Video)
Melanie C of the Spice Girls is still doing her thing in the music business. Despite her last studio album release "Stages" (2012) was merely a collection of song covers from various musicals, and her last album of all-original material "The Sea" was released back in 2011, the always remembered as "Sporty Spice" is still making a living out of music.
She performed a one-off concert at Shepherd's Bush Empire in London on Saturday, January 11th, as a sort of celebration, together with her fans, of her 40th birthday. During the gig, Melanie C serviced her die-hard followers, who packed the venue, with two surprise guests. First, Melanie C welcomed on stage fellow Spice Girl Emma Bunton to perform together the classic ballad "2 Become 1". Later, All Saints' Natalie Appleton walked on stage to perform with her dear friend Mel the 1999 single "Pure Shores".
Will there be a second Spice Girls reunion? Pretty please!
However, duets weren't the only treats Melanie C has readied for fans on Saturday night. Covers were included too! And one of them was a cover of the Rihanna global hit "Only Girl (In The World)", from the Bajan singer's 2010 platinum-selling album "Loud".
