Meghan Trainor, Shawn Mendes & Will.I.Am Perform at “The Voice UK” Season 5 Finale: Watch Now!
Season 5 of "The Voice UK" wrapped up last night, April 9th, and somebody named Kevin Simmwon. Do you care? Neither do I! But there were some interesting guest performers yesterday that definitely make this blog post worthy of being. Who? At the grand season finale BBC One celebrated for its hit talent show, Meghan Trainor, Shawn Mendes and will.i.am hit the stage to perform some live music.
Miss Meghan Trainor slayed a performance of her smash pop hit "NO" - taken from her upcoming "Thank You" album (in stores everywhere on May 13th). She delivered both sassiness and cute choreography. And as she deserved, she received a standing ovation at the end.
Canadian boy Shawn Mendes performed "Stitches", which was a number one hit in the UK a few months ago. Why didn't he sing "I Know What You Did Last Summer" instead I don't know..! Although I have major love for "Stitches", Shawn needs to let the song die with dignity already. Enough is enough.
Later in the evening, will.i.am left his red coach chair and proceeded to the main stage to perform alongside her contestant Lydia Lucy his latest single "Boys & Girls", which had only been released on iTunes the day before (talk about quickness!).
Although I think this girl Lydia did a fantastic job replacing Pia Mia in the choruses, her ad-libs during the second will.i.am verse were awkward.org. Fun performance, though!
