Meghan Trainor Is Back With “No Excuses”: Single Premiere + Music Video
Meghan Trainor is back!
The American singer-songwriter premiered her new single “No Excuses” today. The Andrew Wells-produced catchy pop song is the first official offering from Miss Trainor’s upcoming third studio album, which will be hitting stores later in 2018 via Epic Records.
“You must've confused me, confused me with (Someone else) There ain't no excuses, excuses, babe / Your mama raised you better than that, huh!”, sings Meghan on the chorus of her fresh-out-of-the-oven new tune.
I love you all so much! Thank you for loving me, supporting me and helping me realize what’s most important. There are NO EXCUSES, I’m gonna choose happiness..and I can’t wait to show you what I’ve learned/created for this third album.

Do you think “No Excuses” is Meghan Trainor’s best first single yet? Will it go #1 on iTunes and the Billboard Hot 100 chart?
From the press release:
The single tempers swaggering bass lines, bright guitars, and widescreen synths with an instantly infectious call-and-response. The boisterous production underscores a deeper message encoded in the hook, “Your mama raised you better than that.”
“I love how so many women are standing up for what’s right,” says Trainor. “I wanted to write us all a powerful anthem. Sometimes, people talk down to me, because I’ve only been doing this for four years, so I wrote this song. It’s my modern version of ‘R-E-S-P-E-C-T.’ It’s all about equality and being kind.”
PS: The "No Excuses" music video premiered on YouTube today too! Ahhhh!!!!
