Marsha Ambrosius - "Friends & Lovers" [Album Lyrics]
Her 2011 debut solo album “Late Nights & Early Mornings” debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 and at #1 on the
Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and sold over 400,000 copies. British
singer-songwriter Marsha Ambrosius wants to repeat that same success in 2014
with her follow-up album “Friends & Lovers” which got released in the U.S
on July 15th via RCA Records.
The R&B set contains 20 songs and its full
length is of 60 minutes and 20. In the "collaborations" department
Marsha's enlisted the help of legendary rapper Dr. Dre or Charlie Wilson (aka.
Uncle Charlie) on Friends & Lovers”. The album is filled with sexually-charged,
love and friendship lyrics. The entirety of the songs on “Friends & Lovers”
are R&B ballads or mid-tempos. Marsha puts her amazing vocals in display in
each song. Is it safe to say Marsha has one of the best voices ever? Her
control is sick!
The release of “Friends & Lovers” is preceded by three official singles; “Cold War” – which for some reason Marsha decided to scrap…but it was confirmed it was a “Friends & Lovers” song, “Without You” featuring Ne-Yo, again a song Marsha’s removed from the final tracklisting, and “Run”, the newest single and this IS on the album.
