Maroon 5 - "Animals" [Music Video Premiere]
Maroon 5 world premiered the music video for "Animals" at midday Eastern Time today (Sept. 29). The Shellback-produced catchy yet controversial (due to its lyrics) song is the official second single from the American band's fifth studio album "V".
Directed by Samuel Bayer - he's been doing music videos since 1991 (Nirvana's "Smells Like A Teen Spirit") and first worked with Maroon 5 in 2012 shooting the "Payphone" video - the newly-premiered visual for "Animals" will definitely draw some controversy just like the lyrics of the song. Basically the song is about Adam Levine trying to 'prey' a woman he's really obsessed with. He wants to have wild sex with her and there's nothing that can stop him from accomplishing that goal (see where the controversy first started?). And Samuel Bayer has exactly translated the story of the song into a music video.
Adam - who works a meat-cutting facility - spots this beautiful lady, who happens to be his real life wife Behati Prinsloo, and he chases her and courts her until she falls for him. The creepiest scene in the "Animals" music video has to be when Adam and Behati make out NAKED at Adam's 'meat-cutting facility' and they shower in blood. Ew!
