Macklemore's "Glorious" Music Video Will Remind You To Call/Visit Your Grandmother: Watch!
Awww! Too adorable. This new Macklemore music video has reminded me I need to call and visit my grandmother a lot more.
The Seattle rapper YouTube-premiered the official music video for his latest single “Glorious” (featuring the glorious vocals of Skylar Grey) today. Directed by Jason Koenig, the feel-good visual centers on the day that Macklemore visited his grandmother on her 100th birthday. The Ryan Lewis former best-friend flew from Seattle to California to visit her grandma and give her her special birthday present: a day with her grandson Macklemore where she could do anything she pleased!
So Macklemore took his grandmother to egg houses of the neighborhood, he bought her a shiny new pair of cool sneakers and fresh new clothes, he took her to a karaoke, then to an arcade center, then Macklemore got a tattoo with her name (sure she wanted that?), and finally he paid a stripper to surprise her and her girl friends at home. What a busy day, huh? But actually the stripper part wasn’t the wrapping up of the “Glorious” music video. The video ends with a very touching scene where Macklemore takes her grandmother to see a nearby lake very close and there they will hold hands in a very tender grandson-grandmother way. I just had to shed a tear at that moment.

Amazing song, and what a very original music video! Way to go, Macklemore!
