Little Mix Mash Up “Want To Want Me” & “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” on BBC Live Lounge: Listen Now!
UK girl group Little Mix stopped by the BBC Radio 1 studios in London today, July 28th, to perform a two-song acoustic set for the “Live Lounge” series. They first performed their hit single “Black Magic”, first official offering from the group’s forthcoming third studio album “Get Weird” (out November 6), and later they did their ‘mystery cover’ that was unveiled to Jason Derulo’s “Want to Want Me”.
Little Mix’s last visit to BBC Radio 1’s “Live Lounge” was, if I’m not wrong, in late 2013, so it’s definitely been a long while!
They have been so missed on this show! Hearing Perrie, Jesy and Co. showing off their beautiful vocals in acoustic mode is a precious thing and since there aren’t many shows out there that make their guests sing acoustically, a “Live Lounge” performance is a highly anticipated event.
How did they fare in this new visit? They rocked “Black Magic”, and they took JD’s “Want to Want Me” to a level I never imagined it was possible to take it to. Just amazing. The intro part, the harmonies, the unexpected mash up with Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody"…pure slayage, y’all.
