Listen to Childish Gambino’s New Song “Redbone” Now!
Childish Gambino world premiered a new track called "Redbone" from his much-anticipated forthcoming album "Awaken, My Love!" (in stores December 2nd) tonight on Annie Mac's show on BBC Radio 1 in the UK.
For those of who don't know, "Redbone" is a term for a light-skinned black woman.
"Daylight, I wake up feeling like you won't play right / I usually know but now, that shit don't feel right", sings Childish Gambino in the opening verse. And THAT'S HIM SINGING. I swear to God. It's just that he pitched up his voice a few semitones. Why? To make the song sound cooler I guess...
