Listen To Camila Cabello’s “Real Friends” Remix With Swae Lee: Better Than The Original?
I was expecting a mess but this remix actually turned to “work”. Still I thin the original is superior and that this new version was simply unnecessary.
Camila Cabello premiered the remix of her “Real Friends” song - from the album “Camila” - featuring rapper Swae Lee this Thursday morning on digital platforms. The song, in its remix version, serves as the next Camila Cabello single following “Never be the Same” – which made it on the top 10 of the billboard hot 100.
The song as you all know is about Camila getting disappointed by people who appeared to be her friends but who turned out to be fake friends. I still think this was inspired by her former Fifth Harmony “buddies”. What do you think? True we’ve now seen pictures of Camila and Normani hanging together at awards shows but that doesn’t change the fact real friends was written during the time Camila felt so apart from the Fifth Harmony girls.
This new remix with Swae Lee is cute, I like the modifications in the beat, I’m happy with “Real Friends” getting a shot as a single but something I don’t like is Swae Lee’s autotuned vocals. They seriously got me a little bit of a headache. But hey, if Swae Lee helps make “Real Friends” an unexpected hit, I swear I won’t mind his autotuned vocals anymore.
