Listen To A Long Snippet of OneRepublic's New Song "Ordinary Human"
New OneRepublic! Check out a 1:30 minute
snippet of a new song by the Ryan Tedder-led band titled “Ordinary Human”. The
new song is part of the soundtrack of the upcoming Phillip Noyce-directed sci-fi
film “The Giver”, opening in theatres in the U.S on August 15th. The film is
based on the 1993 novel of same name by Lois Lowry.
“Ordinary Human” snippet below premiered on
Wednesday (July 9) night via the newly-released trailer of “The Giver” on the Apple Trailers website. The full song is confirmed for release on July 22nd on
iTunes.
The sounds so good! “I’m just an ordinary human / But I don’t feel so ordinary today”, ironically sings in the chorus Ryan Tedder. “Ordinary Human” may have been specifically for “The Giver” but it could totally pass as an outtake of “Native”. The sound is pretty much the same to the songs on that album. It’s indie-pop with a lot of drums usage. Love how Ryan easily executes his low and high notes!
