Lights Goes On A Crazy Elevator Ride In "Up We Go" Music Video: Watch
One of my favourite songs of the 2014 thus far has just gotten the music video treatment. At last! Canadian pop singer Lights uploaded on YouTube today (September 3rd) the official video for her new single “Up We Go”, the first offering from the Juno Award winner’s forthcoming third studio album “Little Machines”, due in stores on September 23rd via Warner Brothers Records. I’m so currently obsessed with “Up We Go” that I don’t need to hear the rest of the album to know I'm going to love all of it. Don't waste another second, y’all! Pre-order this album NOW. “Up We Go” is a delicious electro-pop filled with up-lifting lyrics. “It's been a hard year, and I only know / From down this low It's only up we go, up we go”, sings Lights in the motivational chorus of “Up We Go”. Her current musical style is giving me Ellie Goulding meets Ashlee Simpson vibes. And I love it.

Is this girl for real? Thank God I discovered her this year! Not only is “Up We Go” amazing, but its video too! The Alon Isocianu-directed clip shows Lights going on a crazy elevator ride. Upon entering the elevator of an office building the Canadian singer starts singing along to “Up We Go”. The upward ride seems pretty normal until two “luchadores” walk in, then a couple who explicitly make out, and then a whole band, and Lights reaches the “last” floor, a huge celebration with confetti engages. But in the end we find out the “ride” wasn't that real in the end. Obsessed with this girl!
