Latin Heartthrob Prince Royce Gets Shirtless In "Stuck On A Feeling" Music Video / Coming For His First English Hit!
Prince Royce takes it back to 2001 with his new English-language single “Stuck on a Feeling”. The 25-year-old Latin heartthrob (born in NYC to Dominican parents) is ready to conquer the English market in the USA.
Prince already feels like he needs new challenges. In the Spanish/Latin market he’s been so successful ever since his breakthrough in 2010. Three platinum certified albums, a handful of #1 singles on the Latin Billboard Hot 100 and multiple Latin Grammy nominations. And let's not overlook his nationwide and international tours...all sold out! Now Prince Royce is looking to add a new milestone in his career by recording his first full English-language album with the help of the guys over at RCA Records. The album will be out in the first quarter of 2015 and RCA is sparing no expense in making Prince's English debut LP a bona-fide hit. They've made him team up with the hottest producers. What's going to be his sound for the English market? He will definitely have to toss in a pair of bachata tracks as a sort of cute gesture to his millions of Latin fans but the most part of the album seems like it'll be urban-pop. A early 2000's-influenced urban pop. Just check out the lead single "Stuck on a Feeling" featuring Snoop Dogg and you'll see what I mean!
"Stuck on a Feeling" samples 112’s 2001 hit single “Dance with Me” and it’s such a pleasant surprise. It's been so long since I hadn't heard this song! That infectious beat in Prince Royce's "Stuck on a Feeling" sounded so familiar and after a fast recalling I realized it was “Dance with Me”. Producer Jason Evigan (Maroon 5, Demi Lovato, Chris Brown) has updated a little the “Dance with Me” production (made it more urban/pop-ready), and together with Prince Royce’s sexy vocals, it all sounds pretty hot. True this doesn’t scream “2014”, and it commonly may be labelled as "dated", but Prince is doing what Justin Timberlake did not so long ago; make old beats current again. Prince is looking to be the Latin JT and I think so far he’s succeeding.
As for the "Stuck on a Feeling" music video (premiered today, Dec. 10), it shows Prince Royce going on a crazy elevator ride. Instead of taking him to his room floor, it transports him to place where it’s all sexy ladies. In between sexy scenes, the temperature will rise even more when Mr. Royce removes his t-shirt and shows off his six-pack.
