Lady Gaga Apologizes For Ever Recording “Do What U Want” With R. Kelly, Announces REMOVAL Of The Song From All Platforms!
In light of the troubling Lifetime documentary about R. Kelly aired a few days ago that has caused major outcry all over the U.S, where sexual abuse victims of the R&B singer shared their stories in detail, Lady Gaga has broken her silence. She released this statement below via her social media accounts on Wednesday night:
I stand by anyone who has ever been the victim of sexual assault: pic.twitter.com/67sz4WpV3i

We all remember the controversy that "Do What U Want" caused, which I'm convinced was one of the reasons the "Artpop" album didn't perform as expected in sales, and now Lady Gaga has finally given us some insight about why this collaboration was even allowed to happen and her delicate state of mind at that moment.
I appreciate this statement, I appreciate this new context given, and I appreciate the apology. It took years to come, but now that Gaga has healed, she finally was able to make it. Good.
I never honestly liked "Do What U Want" anyway. What about you? Gaga will be REMOVING this song from all digital platforms as a gesture of support to all the sexual abuse victims of R. Kelly reported by the press.
