K'naan - 'Hurt Me Tomorrow' (Music Video)
Somali-Canadian musician K'naan has debuted the official visual in support of "Hurt Me Tomorrow", the second single from his "Country, God, or the Soul" album...Watch above!
"Hurt Me Tomorrow" is the follow-up to the Nelly Furtado-assisted radio hit "Is Anybody Out There?", which peaked at #14 on the Canadian Hot 100 chart and at #27 on Billboard's Pop Songs chart. I liked the song with Nelly Furtado, and I'm loving K'naan's new single as well. It's the 'feel-good' spirit of both tracks that makes them so radio-friendly. Hopefully K'naan gets to do more promo for "Hurt Me Tomorrow" on US television, cause the only performance he's done there so far was the gig at 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' in June.
Now as for the newly-premiered "Hurt Me Tomorrow" music video, it's a nice effort. To me, it feels like Jessie J's "Price Tag" meets Bruno Mars' "Just The Way You Are". The plot is very simple: K'naan stands and does a lot of gesticulation in a white green-screen-made space, surrounded by a handful of beautiful girls dressed in rainbow colors while pencil-drawn animations keeps it cute on screen.
