Kings of Leon’s Surprise Cover of Selena Gomez’s “Hands to Myself” Is A Must-Listen!
Tennessee band Kings of Leon is currently in England promoting their seventh studio album “WALLS”, which they released only last week. Kings of Leon’s music is hugely popular in the UK ever since 2008’s “Sex on Fire”, so no surprise here that they go to English lands every year to do official promotion.
One of the first stops of the Followill brothers was this noon on the program “Live Lounge”, hosted by Clara Amfo, on BBC Radio 1. There, the rock band performed a handful of his most popular songs as well as the lead single their new album “WALLS” and their mandatory acoustic cover. “Live Lounge” asks every guest to please cover another artist’s song and give it their own spin in each of their episodes.
The song Kings of Leon’s chose to cover? *drum rolls* A total surprise: “Hands to Myself” by Selena Gomez!
The result? A complete glorious experience. This is what I call making another artist’s song entirely your own. Hearing Kings of Leon’s “Hands to Myself” cover, I feel like it could be a song from any of their albums! Oh my, and Caleb’s voice just takes me to heaven!
By the way, now that Selena Gomez is treating her medical condition and is on an indefinite hiatus, any news about her, even if it’s a cover of one of her songs by Kings of Leon, is very welcomed. Get well, girl!
