Kiesza - 'Giant In My Heart' [Music Video]
Now this is how you do a LGBT appreciating
video! Demi, where you at? You should have thought of something as original as Kiesza did here for your 'Really Don't Care' music video and not just
shove in our faces a full video about the L.A Gay Pride.
Kiesza premiered in June her new
single and follow-up to her breakthrough hit ‘Hideaway’, the equally-amazing ‘Giant In My Heart’. It's equally-amazing because she maintains the ‘quality bar’ high
on the new single and because she remains loyal to her retro sound, that is; she keeps using her ’90s beats and housey synths.
Today, July 1st, saw the VEVO premiere of the
official ‘Giant In My Heart’ music video. If you thought Demi Lovato was clever
for premiering a gay-friendly music video with 'Really Don't Care' in the
middle of the Gay Pride celebrations all around the world, Kiesza just stole Demi’s thunder
by releasing a ‘LGBT appreciating’ music video that’s much better and more
well-thought.
The plot? An NYC office worker feels like the biggest loser at his dead-end job, and on top of that he just got the worst way back home ever. All his papers get wet because of a stupid car crashing on a puddle of water, he accidentally drops his papers on the bus and people step on it, and his jerk apartment neighbor keeps giving him a bad look.
All looks ugly in this African-American man’s life, but, he has a brighter (other) life, one that no one can mess up and one where he is truly the commander-in-chief. The office worker grabs his favorite dress from his closet, and turns his ‘drag queen’ self on. He goes out at night with two of his favorite gal pals - full make-up, wig, and eye lashes on – and hits a club where Kiesza is tearing up the stage. No can can ruin this night. It’s his night!
