Kid Cudi Drops New Single "Confused" / Debuts New Sound!
Kid Cudi was not lying when he said fans would be surprised with the sound of his new album. The follow-up to 2014’s “Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon” will hear the Cleveland native not rapping/singing over any synth or electronic productions but minimalist ones filled with percussion and guitar-based melodies. His “Four Five Seconds” days are coming?
The fifth Kid Cudi album, titled “Speedin’ Bullet to Heaven”, will be released later this year on Republic/Wicked Awesome Records, and the first single is “Confused”. Kid Cudi premiered the song on SoundCloud on Friday night (July 31). Reception for this new single has been rather mixed. Fans of Kid Cudi are either loving or hating this. The ones that love “Confused” are expressing his amazement for Kid’s new sound while the ones hating want, for once and for all, Kid to go back rapping. Personally, I kind of like “Confused”, I feel some sort of Kurt Cobain inspiration, and I’m feeling Kid’s lyrics concerning one’s search for inner peace. Totally relatable!
