Kellie Pickler Premieres Future Country Hit “Feeling Tonight”: Listen Now! (New Single)
Can’t believe I’m writing a post about Kellie Pickler. It’s been ages I don’t listen to music from this Idol alum whom I loved on her season and had two pretty cool first albums. Unfortunately, I got “disconnected” from her around 2008 I believe, and haven’t heard from her except for some news that she was doing television and had put out a couple more albums, but I never really had a chance to listen to them. Anyhow, long story short, today I received an email from a KP fan that urged me to go to Spotify and check out her brand new single “Feeling Tonight” and thank God I did because I’m so FEELING it and it’s the best country song I’ve heard this year so far…maybe? I may be confused but I’m so excited right now so cut me some slack.
“Feeling Tonight” is confirmed to be the first single from Kellie Pickler’s upcoming yet-untitled fifth studio album, due in stores later in 2015 via Black River Entertainment.
Back in April, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Kelly described her then-unknown new single as; “I will say that it is up-tempo and I hope that it will be this year’s summer anthem,” she said. “Represent the girls and have fun. It’s sassy, and fun”. And I think the description was spot on!
“Feeling Tonight” is giving me life right now, it’s making me want to hit the Nashville freeway in my roofless car, and it just sounds like a legit country hit – if promoted correctly (prays!).
Kellie’s new song is an upbeat country-rock tune, with the right amount of banjo, about forcing you to have a really good time no matter what, and it’s got a chorus that will make you imagine you are in an open field, throwing your hands in the air, close your eyes, and be one with nature. Love it!
If "Feeling Tonight" doesn't rule country radios summer, I'll be pissed!
