Katy's Protégé Ferras Premieres "Speak in Tongues" Music Video
Remember Ferras? He was the first artist signed to Katy Perry’s Metamorphosis Music label and supported the pop star at select dates of her “Prism” tour in the U.S. Ferras released last June a self-titled EP but didn’t produce any official single. Apparently we've had to wait until yesterday (Oct. 16) to get the lead single and that's "Speak in Tongues". Ferras premiered the music video for the sultry R&B ballad last night on VEVO. Does he plan to actually promote this song? Can it be considered an official single? If his plan is to only drop a video and do nothing more, then no.
"Speak in Tongues" video review
There’s something devil-ish about this black and white video. That scene of Ferras sat on a throne with creepy Catholic ssculptures standing in the back and a snake moving around him was a bit spooky. Actually, religion seems to have been the theme of choice for this "Speak in Tongues" video. Ferras is also seen kneeled down holding a rosary in his hands, and telling his truth at a confessional.
"Speak in Tongues" is an R&B ballad about Ferras not wanting to use words with his girlfriend anymore, but move to "action".
