Katy Perry & Diana Vickers on The X Factor!
Katy Perry and Diana Vickers were the guest performers on Sunday's results show of The X Factor (ITV 1). The American pop star gave the first televised performance of her new single "Firework", the third cut overall lifted from Perry's new album "Teenage Dream". Love the song to death, Stargate did a brilliant job in the production, but Katy failed to impress in this performance IMO. I wasn't feeling the outfit she was wearing and vocally it was her best night. Still, she kinda pulled off an entertaining show. "Firework" will be released in the UK on November 15th. The music video is set to premiere any day now!
Lovely Diana Vickers also hit the stage at The X Factor's London studios on Sunday. The British singer performed for the first time live her new single "My Wicked Heart". She tried to reproduce the song's music video with circus-theme and I think she did a good job! Vocally she delivered! and comparing her with Katy, I think Diana gave the "Teenage Dream" singer a lesson tonight lol. Such a unique voice IMO. By the way, poor Diana because I just read Red Hot Chili Peppers are planning to sue her for ilegally sampling their song "Under The Bridger" in her new single. LOL I kinda saw this one coming. Apparently Diana's label wants this issue resolved before the single is out. "My Wicked Heart" will be released on November 7th.
