Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, Pitbull, Fall Out Boy and MORE Perform on 'American Idol' Season 14 Finale: Watch!
It was an epic night last night (May 13) on “American Idol” during its Season 14 finale episode. All three judges (Keith, Jennifer and Harry) hit the stage, and many guest stars individually, or as a group with a few of the finalists, performed their newest singles live.
Who were the invited stars? Ricky Martin, Fall Out Boy, The Jacksons, Vance Joy, Prince Royce, Pitbull, Chris Brown, Echosmith, and Jamie Foxx, among others.
The performances
‘Idol’ judges: J.Lo, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. covered Rihanna’s “Diamonds” and Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out of Heaven” for their group number. Harry played the piano while Keith and Jenny delivered the live vocals. I was really worried about Jennifer not able to hit the long notes of “Diamonds” but impressively she did them nicely. I mean, she ain’t no Celine Dion when it comes to vocals, but she did a decent job and looked super graceful.
Guest stars: Jennifer hit the “Idol” stage for a second time to join Prince Royce for his “Back It Up” performance, Pitbull and Chris Brown performed their “Fun” collaboration, Vance Royce paired up with Idol finalist Quentin Alexander to do his smash hit “Riptide” live, Fall Out Boy rocked “Centuries” with two Idol contestants, The Jacksons performed a hits medley with finalist Tyanna Jones, Echosmith did “Cool Kids”, Jamie Foxx linked up with contestant Rayvon Owen to perform the R&B jam “In Love by Now”, and finally Latin star Ricky Martin performed a hits medley with the male Idol finalists that included his latest English single “Mr. Put It Down”. Last night seriously was a star-studded night.
