Jennifer Lopez - "Booty" [Official Cover Art]
Capitol Records is looking for the perfect time to send Jennifer Lopez' new single “Booty” to radios. They are contemplating the Cory Rooney-produced and Pitbull-assisted banger as the saviour of Jennifer’s latest LP “A.K.A", and they do not want to mess its promotion up. Everything has to be perfect. From the radio adds release date, the calendar of TV performances to the single artwork, which has been revealed today (August 13th) via J.Lo’s social networks. The black and white photograph sees the music diva and mother of two in a backless one-piece bathing suit, sporting a high ponytail and giving us a penetrating gaze. The fonts used for "Booty" and artist names are just atrocious, but that doesn't change the fact the main picture is stunning.
“Booty” really needs to smash. The beat is sick, Jennifer is super sassy in the song, and even Pitbull’s verse is decent. Capitol Records better have booked Jennifer a performance slot on the upcoming VMAs. She needs it! Amazing TV performances, a radio deal, and a super hot music video are the things “Booty” requires to be the late summer smash hit it was born to be. There are no other songs on “A.K.A" with ‘smash hit' potential. “Booty” is it, it’s the only one (“First Love” flopped only reaching #87 on the Billboard Hot 100), and I pray for Jennifer’s career’s sake, it slays the charts.
