Three long years after releasing ‘Love?’ in 2011, Jennifer Lopez has made 2014 her return year. The diva from The Bronx will be releasing on June 17 via Capitol Records her eighth studio album titled 'A.K.A' (which means, 'also known as'). She said in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel that the reason behind this particular title was that 'I've been called so many things in the past'. Clever.

The sales trends of J.Lo’s albums have been decreasing as her career has moved forward. Her last album 'Love?', backed by the monster hit 'On The Floor', only sold 83,000 copies in its first week. Jennifer has only released one OFFICIAL single prior the release of 'A.K.A', and that's been 'First Love', which, to put it nicely, hasn’t been the greatest hit of Jennifer’s career. So I think Jenny will be aiming for a 50k copies sold, at the most, during the first week of ‘A.K.A’.

After a long EDM stint, Jennifer Lopez returns to her URBAN roots in 'A.K.A'. She's worked on the album with hip-hop/urban producers such as; DJ Mustard, Detail, Harmony Samuels, Youngblood, among others.

The album leaked on June 12, five days ahead the set June 17 worldwide release. The album is very coherent in sound, it’s a good buy, but unfortunately it doesn't really carry a lot of potential smash hits. The majority are just good album tracks. What should she release as her next single? I know we have had a Pitbull saturation with Jennifer in the past years, but it’s just that ‘Booty’ is the best single release she could do. That beat is bananas, the Pitbull verse is actually cool (kill me now!), and J.Lo simply MUST release ‘Booty’ this summer. It’s her only chance to save ‘A.K.A'.asd
