Jay Sean Is Back! Listen To His Hot New Single “Make My Love Go” Featuring Sean Paul!
Caliente! Jay Sean is back into our lives by means of a new single titled “Make My Love Go” - featuring Sean Paul. The dancehall/island track, which was released online today (Feb. 5), is said to be part of a new album from the British singer that he plans to drop in stores later this year.
Jay Sean is at last, after a very long battle, out of his torturing contract with Cash Money Records – after releasing a couple of singles and album with them, the Birdman label marginalized him) that prevented him from releasing “official” music for pretty much half a decade. Now in 2016, the guy who once ruled the US Billboard Hot 100 chart with the smash hit “Down” (2009) has announced that he’s inked a new distribution deal with Sony Music and this new single “Make My Love Go” is the first single he can officially release as “free” (out of Cash Money “free” that is) man.
“Make My Love Go” is pretty hot. It’s upbeat, it’s a mix of dancehall and island music, Jay Sean’s vocals are on point, Sean Paul’s verse fits like a glove to the vibe of the song, and lyrics are very sultry. “You make my love go, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh!”, energetically sings Jay in the chorus to a lady he fancies. He later sings in the second verse “In the morning we gon' do it again, wake up / Imma do it like we just broke up and made up”, making it clear that he got lucky with that girl after telling her that cheesy line, ha. Good one!
I’m bopping to this. But for Jay Sean’s career’s sake, he better pray radios pick this up.
