Jay Sean & The Ting Tings Go Acoustic!
Jay Sean released the last weekend his Nicki Minaj-assisted single "2012 (It Ain't The End)" in the UK - The Londoner arrived on British soil a few days ago and has been promoting the record non-stop ever since - One of those promotional rounds included an acoustic set for BBC's Radio One 'Live Lounge'. I'm guessing he sang "2012" acoustically but I just can't find that video, but only this rendition he did of Nicki Minajs' "Your Love" hit. Jay sang his verses from the official remix (released back in August) and left her female back singer be Ms Minaj for the day lol. Hmmmm, well I liked the fact he sang "Your Love" which means free promo for Nicki Minaj's music in the UK but I'm not sure I liked Jay's performance. Something didn't feel right, I don't know. Jay's new album "Freeze Time" is set to hit stores on November 2nd.
The Ting Tings don't want to accept the fact their latest single "Hands" is a mega-FLOP in the UK, and continue its promotion. Katie and Jules performed the Calvin Harris-produced tune acoustically for BBC's 'Switch' show earlier this week. Sitting in chairs placed back-to-back The Ting Tings delivered a really good performance! - BTW, what's that place? Looks cool - I actually like the song and I'm sad it flopped this bad (debuted at #29!!). As I said before, it could be that they took too long to start promote and/or release "Hands" that in the end the UK audience didn't care for the song or that their fans like better the more commercial Ting Tings with songs in the line of "That's Not My Name" or "Shut Up And Let Me Go".
