Jason Derulo slow things down in the second single off his latest album "Future History" - The R&B mid-tempo "It Girl" features a nice guitar-driven production with a pretty cool whistle hook - The verses are the best parts though...and not the chorus for once. I like how Jason sings in the verses, and the lyrics there are much better IMO. The 'oh, oh, oh' bits were cool as well. Very catchy! All in all I think Jason may have a radio hit on his hands with "It Girl". Ever since I knew Derulo would release a mid-tempo as second single, I feared he would drop something generic, but thank God he innovated a bit here.
