Jared Leto Wins Golden Globe for "Dallas Buyers Club": Acceptance Speech (Video)!
30 Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto has won his first award for his performance as an actor (as singer, he's got many). The 42-year-old talented man was proclaimed winner of the "Best Supporting Actor" category at the 71st Golden Globes Awards held over the weekend in Los Angeles. Jared beat the likes of Barkhad Abdi ("Captain Phillips") or Michael Fassbender ("12 Years a Slave") who for many were the "big" contenders in the category. Jared won for his role as AIDS positive transgender woman, Rayon in "Dallas Buyers Club". His co-star Matthew McConaughey won "Best Actor".

The 2014 Oscar nominations will be announced on Thursday, January 16th. No doubt Jared Leto will make it into the "Best Supporting Actor" category there...and win it too?.
In music-related news, Jared Leto and 30 Second to Mars will embark on a world tour kicking off in Mexico later this month. Tour stops include Latin America, Asia, Australia and Europe. Last concert will be on July 4th in Romania.
