Janet Jackson Brings Out Missy Elliott, Performs “So Excited” At Last Show of “State of the World Tour” In Atlanta!
Janet Jackson wrapped up her “State of the World Tour” last night, December 17th, with a concert before 21,000 fans at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. After doing 55 shows across the United States and Canada, Janet is done. And the ATL show proved to be special for other reasons too. For besides being the last concert and Janet definitely feeling emotional about it, she also wanted to do something special for the crowd at this closing night. What did she do? First she brought out Missy Elliott on stage when performing “Burnitup!”, from the “Unbreakable” album, and later surprised everyone by performing her hit “So Excited”, from the “20 Y.O.” album. Janet hadn’t included this song at all in the setlist for this tour, with rumor being that featured artist Khia had banned Janet from performing “So Excited” without her permission, so this performance at the closing concert was a shocker. Either Janet made peace with Khia or she isn’t bothered to pay her a few thousand dollars in a lawsuit - if that's what it takes to make fans happy by watching "So Excited" performed live again!
