Janelle Monáe: "SNL" Performances (Video)
Eclectic lady Janelle Monaé made her "Saturday Night Live" debut this weekend (Oct. 26) to promote her last month-release sophomore album "The Electric Lady", which - all things considered - isn't doing that amazingly on the US charts, after debuting at #5 with only 47k copies sold. So this "SNL" gig was definitely important for Janelle's interests.
27-year-old Kansas City Janelle performed two songs from "The Electric Lady" on SNL; the party-starter "Dance Apocalyptic" and the album's title track. Both super solid performances. Ms Monaé always deliver in the "live shows" department. Always. This girl was born to do this. If you're a fan of Janelle's music make sure to catch her on her current headlining tour.
