Hunter Hayes - "Tattoo" [Music Video]
Hunter Hayes and his cherub face have a new music video out. The 22-year-old country singer premiered this week the music video for "Tattoo", the official second single from his sophomore studio album "Storyline" (Atlantic Nashville) which debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 last May. The ‘perfect for a serenade song’, "Tattoo" (track no. 4 on “Storyline”), was written by Hayes, Troy Verges and Barry Dean.
The music video for "Tattoo" premiered online via CMT.com on Monday but the video was blocked for non-US residents. Thankfully, Hunter Hayes uploaded the full music video last night, July 29, on YouTube for everyone to see! Check it out below!
"Tattoo" music video review
Why did it take Hunter six months to release a new single? Has Atlantic thrown the towel on "Storyline"? Hunter Hayes has the looks and talent to become the ‘it’ boy in country music, but for some reason I think Atlantic is not handling his career well. Wonder how many albums he's got left with the label? He should totally find a new home! Anyhow, as for the "Tattoo" music video, it’s a simple but not bad effort. “With a song like 'Tattoo,' it's a very visual thing," Hayes told in a recent interview. "Lyrically, the goal is to bring you to a place where all these artistic elements of inspiration come to life around you. So, for the video, rather than just explain how a relationship can inspire you, we wanted to go beyond the expected and make a musically inspired moment jump out of a two-dimensional space."
The video basically shows Hunter performing the track in front of a gigantic stereo as he flirts with a rather beautiful brunette.
