Hear G-Eazy & Kehlani Brag About Money In "Good Life": Single Premiere!
Who knew Kehlani would sound this well doing pop music?
"Good Life" is G-Eazy and Kehlani's contribution to the "Fast and Furious 8" soundtrack that will arrive in stores on April 14th. This male-female collection was released as the soundtrack's newest countdown single today on iTunes.
The lyrics of "Good Life" you can imagine. They sing/rap about going from nothing to superstars, being now able to buy expensive stuff to their relatives (like G-Eazy getting his mom a Bentley), among other "inspiring" messages. As for the vocal time distribution, G-Eazy takes the verses while the chorus is left to Kehlani. And get this. Kehlani's ain't urban or R&B one bit. She agreed to record a 100% pop chorus. Hear it for yourself if you don't believe us. Is this the poppiest Kehlani we've ever heard? You can bet on it. And you know what? She sounds so good doing pop. We really like her "dope" records but maybe she can give us too a couple of pop tracks from time to time? Pop loves her it seems. And maybe it can give her a mega smash if she records the perfect song.
