Halsey Pisses Off Homophobes With Beautiful ‘Without Me’ Performance On 2018 ‘The Voice’ Finale, Watch Rest Of Performances + Winner Here Too!
So Chevel Shepherd of Team Kelly Clarkson won the 2018 edition of The Voice. Congratulations. But unfortunately for Chevel she was outshined by another artist in her big night: by LGBTQ+ activist Halsey. Halsey is the one making all headlines a day later.
Halsey delivered a beautiful performance of her hit single Without Me on the finale night. She performed a contemporary dance choreography with Jade Chynoweth as she sang Without Me all live. It was a gorgeous performance from beginning to end where Halsey told the story of the relationship between two women.
Of course the homophobes watching the homophobes watching the finale of The Voice last night were mad. And many disguised their homophobic thoughts by saying Halsey's performance was simply not family-friendly. BUT WE SEE RIGHT THROUGH YOU.
Thankfully Halsey had the right response for them on social media:
Very proud of the emotional performance i did with @JadeChynoweth on @NBCTheVoice tonight. And also very proud to have pissed off thw homophobic viewers at home who missed the message. Thanks for watching. ????????

Represention matters. Thanks @NBCTheVoice for giving a space for this vision to come to life. ???? and thank you @JadeChynoweth for being an incredible human who used her body like the ultimate instrument for this collaboration.
