G-Unit Release New EP 'The Beauty of Independence', Stream 'Changes'
G-Unit have had a constant flow of music since reuniting at Summer Jam and continue that trend on Sunday night with the release of a new EP titled 'The Beauty Of Independence'. 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, Young Buck and new addition Kidd Kidd are all heard throughout the six track-project, which contains no guest features and production by Havoc, Lord Quest, 45 Music, and Ryan “Ryu” Alexy.
One of the standout tracks on the new EP is No. 5 'Changes'. 50 Cent opens up the song with a line addressing Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre and then raps what seems to be a slight to Jay Z: "These days can't believe what you hear on the street. That nigga said he owned the team, he only owned a seat." 50 also comes through with a beautiful sounding hook and Buck, Banks, and Kidd Kidd follow with quality verses.
'The Beauty Of Independence' is an appetizer to a full length G-Unit album currently in the works. An interview by Rob Markman of G-Unit is set to air tomorrow on Shade 45 at 8PM EST. The crew will be addressing everything from the temporary split to 50's Jay Z slight on 'Changes'.
